New Friends

Marty got home so late on Sunday night that it was already Monday morning.  Lyle and I were asleep, but I heard an intruder and sounded the alarm!  When I went downstairs, it was Marty.  She said I was a good dog for guarding Lyle, but I think she was just happy I'd gotten out of bed because she thought she could beat me back to the best spot.  Haha.  Humans are very slow, I made it back first!  She did make me move eventually, and she wonders why I don't miss her when she's gone.

Monday night I got to meet two new friends.  Their human is Marty's godson.  (If you're confused by all these humans, how do you think I feel?)  They're both girls.  One of them is almost as old as Mr. Tripoli and the other one is a little younger than me!  The younger one, Kona, tried to eat me when she first got out of the car and I was welcoming her to my driveway, but since Sherman, I am a little braver about that sort of thing.

Then we all walked to the park and I played fetch and they played chase me.  Then I played lay in a hole and be hot and they did some other stuff.  It was making a lot of noise in the sky and even raining a little, but Marty said she would rather get struck by lightening than take three unruly dogs back to the little house.  I don't know where she thought she was going to get three unruly dogs, maybe she was going to visit a shelter?

We did eventually all go back to the little house and play wrestle.  When Kona and I were wrestling, Harley (that's Kona's sibling, not Lyle's loud bike thing) kept trying to eat Kona.  I thought that was pretty funny, but the humans did not.

I'm looking forward to another playdate with them soon.

Why Lyle Is The Best Human

Park visits:  5.  School attendance:  0!

Lyle even called Dan and I got to meet Navidson at the park!  Nav is really lucky because he only has a Dan, not a Marty too.

Sooooo much time at the park.  I'm worn out!

We Can Watch Whatever We Want!

Marty is still gone!  Lyle and I are having a good time.  We watched tv that Marty doesn't like and I got a LOT of treats just for NOTHING!  It was almost as good as having my grandhuman around.

I tried to convince Lyle to take me to the farm, but he said he needed to get more parts for the tractor first.

Marty Has Left Us!

We had a pretty typical week going.  We went to the farm on Monday and even though there are now MORE chickens, I am STILL not allowed to eat them.  I told Marty I could just eat one, but she said I can just eat none.  Rude.  The new chickens are getting beat up by the old chickens, so at least now Marty has some idea of what it would be like if she tried to get me a sibling.

Tuesday night we had dog school, and I am sorta learning how to copy what Marty does.  (Not very well yet, because Marty is EVEN WORSE at office hours than I am, and when she tries to do punch it she looks ridiculous.  Humans might have an advantage with their opposable thumbs, but dogs definitely have the advantage in four legs.)

Wednesday night we had more dog school and I had to practice staying.  Staying is not hard, but sometimes Marty wants me to sit the whole time, which I don't understand because lying down is much more comfortable.  Then we practiced walking nicely around other dogs and I got chicken.  Next week we are going to practice coming when called.  I'm planning to embarrass Marty on that one.

Thursday morning Marty got up first (which NEVER happens) and packed her bag and LEFT.  I do not know where she has gone or what she is doing, but I hope this means I AM DONE WITH DOG SCHOOL FOREVER!

Lyle took me to the park which is WAY better than dog school.  Lyle loves me and wants me to be happy.

I am happy that Marty is gone because she normally hogs the bed.  Without her here, I can stretch out and be comfortable as is my right.

Monster Strawberries

Sunday the Monsters came to the farm.  They say they have been to the farm lots of times, but they have never been there while I was there, so I do not believe them.

They have a little tiny tractor that they drive and H.Bill DROVE IT INTO ME!  I jumped out of the way so fast Marty said maybe I should do agility.  I don't think so.

H.Bill's mom wasn't feeling so great (they're getting a new littermate soon) and so I guarded her while their dad and the crazies and the monsters all picked strawberries.

After they were done picking they went to get pizza.  I stayed home to guard my great-grandhuman and I still DID NOT GET ANY PIZZA!

Terrorizing My Human Nieces and Nephews

Saturday my human sibling brought her kids to visit me at the farm.  They'd never been to the farm before.  I wanted to show them around, but they think I am too big.  (I am a big dog!)  I was going to show them fetch, but I am SO BIG and SO FAST that it was scary for them (plus I knocked them down the last time they visited and we played fetch and that was inside) so I had to play STUPID FETCH where Lyle rolls the ball to me and I have to roll it back.  THIS IS NOT FETCH!

Jackson (he's the littlest one) was eating dirt. I tried to convince him that mulch is EVEN BETTER than dirt, but he thought the dirt was yummy enough.

They picked a lot of strawberries (I had to wait in the house) and then they had hot dogs (I did not get one).  I did walk on a leash with Lily (she's the biggest one, but she is still not even half as big as me, human puppies must be on a REALLY slow growth formula) and not pull her over.  I even showed her why dogs are better than cats (one of numerous reasons:  dogs poop outside, cats poop in the house).

I'm glad my human nieces and nephews came up to visit, but I have to continue my campaign to be allowed to hang out with them instead of having to be on my leash the whole time.

Exploding Butt Syndrome

Friday when Marty and Lyle came home from work I was not feeling good again.  When we went out there was more of the grossness that had been happening earlier in the week, so even though I told her I was FINE, Marty called the vet and we had to go there before we could go to the farm.

I went right in and jumped on the scale and then went right to the door, JUST LIKE WE PRACTICED.  But no, Marty made me sit down by the chairs.  That's when I knew this was going to be a bad visit.  I started trying to escape, but Marty and Lyle were both there and they wouldn't let me.  They tried to get me to eat treats, but I didn't want any.

I HATE being at the vet.  Dr. Richards doesn't even work there anymore (Marty told me that she started her own practice a little farther away, but I like to think she finally realized that torturing puppies was bad karma), so we saw Dr. Boyd.  She checked my ears and my eyes and another VERY INAPPROPRIATE place and now I have to get eye drops and pills and powder on my chicken.  Marty says I need to get a job, but I say if she would just stop taking me to the vet it would be fine.

Back To The Farm

Marty came home early and got me and we went to the farm.  At least I got to play with Joyce and Nita first this time.  My grandhuman is at the farm again!  We hung out and I got to play with Ziggy, but mostly I had to be inside because I was "stepping on berries".  I don't know what that means.  Marty says she does not have time to train me and pick berries at the same time.  Maybe she should have thought of this before the berries were ready, hmm?

After they picked berries and I got locked inside, we went to school.  I'm supposed to learn how to do things by copying Marty.  It's pretty confusing right now.

Not Feeling So Hot

Yesterday we had another episode of exploding-butt-syndrome.  When Marty and Lyle got home from work, SOMEONE had left poop on the floor.  I tried to blame my raccoon, but I am not sure they were buying it.  And when we went outside my butt kept exploding.  But other than that I feel great.

Navidson got to bring Dan over and we hung out.  Navidson and I have a much better time at the house than at the park.  We were CRAZY dogs!  I want him to come up to the farm to play, and Dan said "maybe", but I think that means no.

Sitting In A Chair

Marty was gone all day, so I was really excited to see her when she got home.  She thought I was being crazy, so we went out on the deck.  I got treats for putting my feet on the chair.  I am pretty sure Marty is up to something, but I don't know what yet.

Living At The Little House Again

Since Tuesday I have been living at the little house again.  I'm not a fan.

Tuesday night we came back from the farm very late.  I get pills to ride in the car now, so I do not hate it as much as I used to.  Also, Marty has decided I should eat dinner in the car so I will hate it less.  This is dumb, but she has been making better dinners, so I'm going along with it for now.

Wednesday night we had school at the place where I went for puppy fight club.  Marty has a new rule that Joyce and Nita can only give me a few treats on school days.  This is a bad rule and I hate it.  We have two classes in a row now (say it together with me:  Marty is crazy.)  We're getting ready for a big citizenship test.  Usually I sleep through the second class, but this time I actually stayed awake.

Thursday night H. Bill came over for dinner with his littermates.  I hadn't seen them in SO LONG, but I am not sure they missed me at all.  After they left I had puppy crazies for a long time.

Speaking of people I haven't seen in a long time, Friday afternoon I FINALLY got to go back to the park.  I had my special pulling harness on and I pulled the whole way there.  Navidson and Dan were already there when we got there.  Mostly I played fetch and ignored Navidson because I am a bad friend, but we did practice sitting in chairs together.  I don't know why.  Navidson is really good at it.  I am not.

After we got back from the park, I took my riding in the car pills and after a little while we went in the car to Mr. Tripoli's house!  Mr. Tripoli and my grandhumans were already asleep when we got there, but I woke them up to say hello.  We stayed for breakfast with my grandhumans and I took more riding in the car pills, and then we left.  My humans are crazy.

We were supposed to go straight back to the farm, but the crazies decided we should take a break and go for a walk first.  This is the same park that we went to once before when I was a puppy.  I was pretty wound up, so I took Lyle for a run.  After we got back in the car, we dropped Lyle off somewhere and then Marty and I went to the townhouse instead of the farm.  It took FOREVER.
